New Diversity Director- Julia Herrera

Please join me in welcoming our new Diversity Director – Julia Herrera – to our team!

Julia Herrera has been in the Human Resources industry for 10 plus years. In addition to her experience in the field, she will be graduating Lewis University in May 2014 with a bachelor’s in Human Resource Management. She finds it rewarding having influences in the overall business operations to achieve success. Her expertise in recruiting, employee relations, employee benefits, policy formation, succession planning, and training has facilitated her success in her profession.

Working for both small and big companies has allowed her to gain knowledge with diversity. Being introduced to a variety of components that set us aside such as race, gender, age, disabilities, religion, job title, physical appearance, sexual orientation, nationality, multicultural has contributed to her achievements.

Julia is a proud sponsor of the America Cancer Society-Relay for Life of Joliet. Last but not least, in her spare time, she provides free consulting services to small companies that have limited resources. In fact, she takes pride in educating small business in implementing standards that will contribute to their growth.
