    SUCCESSFUL HR STRATEGIES FOR BUILDING AN ETHICAL WORKPLACE CULTURE

    This presentation will help you assess the degree to which your organization has an ethical culture and the steps needed to build a stronger one that will contribute to your business success.  You will look at the current status of workplace ethics, the reasons good ethics equal good business, the elements of an ethical workplace culture, HR strategies to build a stronger culture, and the importance of ethical practice as an HR competency.

    Presenter Bio: Faith Stipanovich has over 30 years of HR experience working in private and public sectors including working in both union and non-union environments.  She holds a master’s degree in Human Resource Management from LaRoche University, Pittsburgh, PA, and a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management from Geneva College, Beaver, PA.  

    Before joining SHRM in December 2019 as a Field Services Director, Faith was a Senior HR Business Partner for Matthews International, where she supported multiple business units across the Memorialization Division, primarily working with leaders in Bronze manufacturing, Funeral Products Distribution, and sales.  Prior to working at Matthews, she worked as a public servant for Allegheny County managing the Payroll Department for over 7000 employees and was part of the team responsible for implementing an HRIS and new payroll enterprise system.  Faith spent her early career working as a Paralegal at various law firms throughout the city of Pittsburgh.  It was during these early career days that Faith discovered her passion for employees and employee law. 

    Faith is SHRM-SCP certified, and has earned the SHRM People Analytics Specialty Credential, SHRM Workplace Investigations Specialty Credential, SHRM Foundation Veterans at Work Certificate and the Employing Abilities @Work Certificate.  Prior to joining SHRM she recently served as the Northeast SHRM MAC in 2019 and also served on the SHRM Labor Relations Expertise Panel.  She held multiple positions on the Pennsylvania State Council of SHRM serving 2 years as the State Director supporting 26 Professional Chapters, 12 student chapters and SHRM members across Pennsylvania.  She is a member and Past President of the Pittsburgh Human Resources Association (PHRA).
