This month, we welcome Darren C. Freeman, a passionate, and accomplished Diversity & Inclusion professional with more than 20 years’ experience in recruiting, staffing and corporate sales. He is the CEO & Founder of Talent-Hue, a full-service recruiting firm that offers national diversity services to organizations of all shapes and sizes. He’s also a partner with Opportunity Hub, a minority IT talent supplier and partner to over 50 tech companies, major corporations, high growth startups and venture funds. He volunteers as the Associate Director of Partner Relations with Year Up, a non-profit organization helping Black youth prepare for work in corporate America, up to and including internships with a variety of Chicago institutions. On top of it all, Darren is a graduate of Joliet Catholic High School and much of his family still resides in Will County.

Darren write, “It’s very easy to have a tagline in a job description, or company slogan touting that you are a ‘Diversity Employer’. The hard work comes from being deliberate in the recruitment of diverse talent, taking the time to implement specific campaigns to attract a diverse candidate pool – or diverse supplier base.” Darren will open up on a wide range of topics, helping our GWHRA community make Diversity and Inclusion a core value in every organization.
