    GWHRA Board is asking you to attend a critical Town Hall meeting on Wednesday, November 9th 5:30-7:30pm to discuss the future of our Chapter and the risk associated with how we are currently functioning as a Chapter. YOUR feedback and recommendations are needed to ensure that we continue to exist as a Chapter.

    The board has made a bold and necessary decision to hit the RESET button. We recognize that in order to engage new members, retain existing members and offer quality programming and value as a Chapter, change is absolutely necessary. As a first step, the board has scheduled a Town Hall meeting and strongly encourages every member and previous members to attend.  Your constructive feedback, perception, opinions, and recommendations are NEEDED and welcome.

    The Town Hall meeting will be facilitated by IL SHRM District Director Denise St.Pierre and newly appointed GWHRA Chapter President Becky Kowall.  

    Please make a commitment to attend this critical meeting in order to sustain the existence of Grundy Will HR Association.

    Discussion Topics:

    • Why we exist as a Chapter
    • What value we currently offer our members
    • What value we offer our community
    • When and how often meetings should be held (month, day, time etc.)
    • SWOT analysis

    Challenges:

    • Low monthly meeting attendance
    • Low quarterly networking event attendance
    • Low networking engagement during monthly Chapter pre-meetings
    • Decrease in new membership
    • Decrease in membership retention
    • Growing board positions

    Actions:

    • Attend this Town Hall meeting
    • Arrive prepared to provide transparent constructive feedback
    • Share this meeting notice with your HR colleagues and encourage them to participate, as we recognize the new perspectives

    When: Wednesday November 9, 5:30pm - 7:30pm (end time tentative)

    Where: 2400 Glenwood Avenue, Joliet IL 60435 (Will County Workforce Development Building)

    Who: ALL current and past GWHRA members are requested to attend

    Why: To show support of continued existence of GWHRA
