     As an HR professional, you are uniquely positioned to provide insight into and shape the development of federal and state workplace place laws and regulations. Given HR’s unique knowledge and experience of implementing these laws within their organizations, wouldn’t your influence make for better HR public policy?     About the Speaker:

    Cathy S. Plouzek, PHR is the Director of Human Resources for Alliance Benefit Group in Peoria, IL.  In this role, she maintains and enhances the organization's people management strategies. Cathy has over 25 years experience across several industries.

    In addition to her work with Alliance Benefit Group, she is the Director of Illinois State Council SHRM.  As the chief elected officer of the state council, she establishes policy, strategies and objectives consistent with those of SHRM, provides guidance to elected and volunteer members who are responsible for accomplishing state and SHRM objective and establishes goals in support of the SHRM mission and objectives.
