TOPICS TO BE PRESENTED INCLUDE:

IDES Business Solutions:

An Overview of IDES Business Solutions including resources for employers seeking skilled workers to fill job vacancies.  Information to be presented will include registration and use of the Illinois JobLink System, Veterans Programs, use of local offices for recruitment purposes, Re-Entry Employment Services Programs, Fidelity Bonding, Migrant Seasonal Farm Worker Program, Work Opportunity Tax Credit and provision of Labor Market Information. 

Employer Protests:

Information on the Employers’ right to contest unemployment insurance claims and chargeability will be presented with an emphasis on due dates of protests and what information should be included with written protests.  Appeal rights will also be presented.

Mock Adjudication Interviews: 

A demonstration of the interviews and processes conducted by local office staff with claimants and employers during the initial fact-finding investigation.  Interviews on voluntary leaving, misconduct and refusal of work will be conducted.
