This session is offered to provide attendees with foundational concepts related to DE&I strategic planning, as well as a framework for being intentionally inclusive in their approach. We will cover:
- What is Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (level set on definition)?
- Why has most organizations been Unintentionally Exclusion v. Intentionally Inclusive in their efforts? Introduce the DARNSCARS for Diversity™ framework
- How do we measure DE&I to the business (correlate DE&I desires with workforce trending demands to organizational success factors)?
- What are the benefits of DE&I efforts (the business case factors supporting DE&I as a business imperative instead of a nice-to-have idea)?
- Why do some organizations fail (the word/deed paradigmatic test)?
- How does an unconscious bias impact progress (en/acculturation concepts and the Johari Window). Attendees will be given a source for testing unconscious bias.
- How should an organization start with DE&I strategic planning (how it cascades and what is the framework – what is included in the each component of a DE&I strategy)?
