    Joe P. Buckley III is a forensic interview, detection of deception examiner, lecturer and consultant. Mr. Buckley is the President of John E. Reid and Associates of Chicago, Illinois. He has been with the firm since 1971. He is co-author of the books The Investigator Anthology, Criminal Interrogation and Confessions, and Essential of the Reid Technique, as well as numerous articles and papers. He is a contributing author to The Encyclopedia of Police Science and the Encyclopedia of Security Management.

    This presentation focuses on Applicant Interviewing Strategies. Specifically, we discuss how to develop the complete truth from an individual candidate during a pre-employment interview about their background, employment history, suspensions, terminations, involvement in illegal activities, etc.
